Business Overview
Previously part of GB Airways, Gibair holds exclusive rights given by the Government of Gibraltar to handle aircraft arriving in Gibraltar, managing passenger check-in, boarding and departure for airline clients including British Airways, easyJet and Monarch, as well as General Aviation.In preparation for the opening of the new air terminal at Gibraltar airport, Gibair has undertaken comprehensive re-training of its 70-strong workforce, and has invested in a wide range of new equipment including an air start unit, ground power unit, aircraft tow tugs, and a special lift to assist less able bodied passengers to easily and comfortably board aircraft.
Products and Services
Gibair handles the check-in of passengers and their luggage, departure control, and passenger boarding, and provides facilities for club/business passengers in the Peninsula Lounge. It also, through its Gibair Cargo department, provides a service for the import and export of goods via airfreight. Handling is provided to scheduled, charter and private aircraft. Gibair also runs three desks at Gibraltar Airport.
