The Rock Hotel was opened in February 1932 and today continues to offers timeless service, comfort and personal attention.  Its elegant and extensive facilities are unique in Gibraltar, set within 9.5 acres of picturesque gardens its commanding position overlooking the Bay provides spectacular, ever-changing views.     

Whilst retaining its timeless quality, the Rock has evolved with the times providing all the necessary new facilities required by today's technology-hungry traveller. 

The Rock offers 104 bedrooms in the colonial style, each enjoying magnificent views over the bay of Gibraltar, the Spanish hinterland and in the distance, the Rif Mountains of Morocco.

The Rock serves a wide client base and enjoys an eclectic mix of private travellers, corporate visitors and of course, the leisure market.  Recently the ability to host civil wedding ceremonies at the Hotel has added an exciting new stage for the Hotel to demonstrate its legendary service and care. Many appreciative couples have enjoyed holding their wedding ceremonies at the Rock, entrusting the Hotel to take care of every detail from the initial enquiry to ongoing travel arrangements. 

The Hotel's first class restaurant has won an AA rosette for its excellent cuisine.

For less formal dining and enjoying evening cocktails, the Wisteria Terrace is a perfect cool, shady place to watch the sun go down at the end of a busy day.   

The Rock Hotel's pool and gardens have been  beautifully landscaped with a traditional Moroccan theme.   New this year is ‘the Khaima’: a sumptious Moroccan-style marquee which will provide  a unique venue to host functions and events.
