Charles is the General Manager at the Rock Hotel. He has dedicated most of his life to the hotel business with an international experience spanning more than 30 years and three of the world’s top hotel chains.
After completing his school studies in Gibraltar, Charles took a BA degree in Hotel & Catering Management at Strathclyde University. He then joined a training programme with Hilton International that started at the company’s landmark hotel in London´s Park Lane. This first step into the world of 5-star hotels created an indelible impression and passion for hotels.
Charles spent the next 10 years of his career in Italy working in Milan and Rome, firstly with Hilton and then with the InterContinental’s flagship Hotel de la Ville, located in the heart of Rome in Via Sistina. He developed a strong background in food and beverage management which helped him in his future roles in the field of sales travelling across Europe and the US.
Following this very enriching experience in Italy, Charles joined Hyatt International and was appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the opening of the resort at La Manga Club where he added leisure and sports marketing experience to his curriculum.
Charles joined the Rock Hotel in 2012 to share his knowledge and expertise with an exceptional team of people that proudly serve and strive to exceed customers’ expectations every day.
