Nick joined Griffon Hoverwork Ltd in January 2017, following two years in a consultancy role, and his Marketing and Sales Team has achieved new hovercraft and boat sales and continues to grow success for the business. With the signature of fresh orders and new clients in 2018, Griffon’s economic growth reflects the tremendous capability and versatility of their marine business.To meet and strengthen the emerging need for growing UK and export sales Nick leads the business development relationship with HM Government, funding partners and our supply chain for technology development.
Nick also leads the BISEN business consortium with HM Government’s DIT regions, sectors and markets and led the production of a “Deployed Healthcare” event during the Colombia State visit in November 2016. The first production outreach healthcare clinic based on Griffon’s 2000TD hovercraft was delivered to Nigeria in 2018.
Nick’s career includes 7 years in the UK military, 7 years in Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering, 11 years in AgustaWestland and 6 years in Finmeccanica leading training integration, group change and capability development. He is a keen pilot and sailor and enjoys travelling, racket sports, vintage cars and working with educational establishments to promote STEM related activities.With Balfour Beatty, he worked in programme management and portfolio coordination and then at Westland Helicopters and Finmeccanica leading training integration, group change, capability development and co-chairing the BISEN UK Sales Consortium. Nick is a keen pilot and sailor and enjoys vintage cars and working with schools to promote science and engineering. He lives with his family in Dorset.
