Best ‘Journey’ in the Young Enterprise finals awarded by BGI

The Young Enterprise Finals hosted at the Rock Hotel saw the Company Imperium awarded the prize for the best ‘Journey’. 

The Journey prize was sponsored by Bland Group International, who are the Young Enterprise’s main sponsor and over the years have given hundreds of thousands of pounds to this initiative. Presented by Bethan Perera, Communications and Operations Executive at Bland Group International, Imperium deserved the award for their significant development over the course of the Young Enterprise Programme and in recognition for their determination to succeed despite setbacks.

Imperium, a team of 7, have been taking part in Young Enterprise’s flagship Company Programme, setting up and running their own businesses for an academic year, guided by business mentors. Their final product “InCharge” provides its customers with the smallest keyring cable in the world! Despite its size, the product has large capabilities, through its ability to charge both Apple (lightning cable) and Micro USB (most other phones) devices, as well as transferring data, such as photos, etc. Despite its size, this product has large capabilities, through its ability to charge both Due to both ends being magnetic, it is highly portable as it easily clips onto items such as, keys, headphones, etc. It also minimizes clutter in drawers, bags and busy desks, among other things.

Bland Group International, who have sponsored the event for 10 years, were delighted present the new award. Bethan Perera said “The standard was exceptionally high this year making it a tough decision for judges. The creativity, innovation and commitment these students show is an inspiration to us all. Their ability to develop such products and run all aspects of their business improves year on year”.
