Hovertravel’s accessibility initiative shortlisted

Hovertravel has been named as a finalist for this year’s Business Excellence Awards hosted by The Portsmouth News. The awards, now in its nineteenth year, celebrates businesses which have shown exceptional growth, innovation or an outstanding contribution to the community in which they operate.

Hovertravel is shortlisted for the Company Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year category where the judges are looking for a project which helps improve peoples’ lives and enhances the relationship between the company and the local community.

Loretta Lale, Head of Commercial at Hovertravel, adds: “We are proud to be a vital transport link in Portsmouth, flying over the Solent for more than 50 years, and we are always looking for ways in which we can enhance our service to the benefit of all.

We want everyone to be confident that they can enjoy a flight on our hovercraft and that our team can provide as much or as little assistance as required. We have invested resources into specialist training, themed open days and additional facilities so that we can serve the diverse needs of our customers.

Being shortlisted for this award demonstrates the dedication of our staff in their ongoing efforts to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.”

The winners of the Business Excellence Awards will be announced during the award ceremony at Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 21 February 2020.
