Hovertravel has extended its timetable by adding in an extra early service on Sunday 20th October for The Great South Run.

Loretta Lale, Head of Commercial at Hovertravel: “By operating our first service 30 minutes earlier we are giving all the island resident and visiting runners the chance to get a head start on their travel to the Great South Run. Our Southsea terminal is located on the edge of Southsea Common with the event just yards away, so we are the obvious choice for both participants and spectators.”

The world’s leading 10-mile run will take place in Portsmouth on Sunday 20th October and marks the 30th outing for this much-loved event. Over 20,000 people will attend, enjoying new on-course experiences and some of Portsmouth's best scenery, including the Spinnaker Tower, Southsea Seafront and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard (including Nelson's flagship HMS Victory).
